Tip of the Hat: Readers and Commentators
It’s time for my monthly word of thanks to those who make this blog so vibrant.
First, I’d like to salute our readers. During January, we had 4814 unique visitors, making 23,282 visits during the month, suggesting our readers drop by once a week. Each day we see between 180-200 unique visitors, occasionally jumping up to almost 400 when our StumbleUpon friends flag posts of particular interest. When I occasionally tire from all the work that goes into this blog, I remember all of you loyal readers. You are the ones who keep me going. THANKS.
It is the COMMENTER that truly brings a blog to life, creating our own community. Thanks to those readers who contributed to discussions this month.
Many of the commenters maintain blogs of their own. Click on the links to take a look — or when reading a comment, click on the writer’s name if it is underlined.
This month’s commenters, in no particular order:
- Michael Downend — American Society of Media Photographers
- Jeremy Osborne — discover fire
- Jeanne Dininni — Writer’s Notes
- Anes S — Work At Home Mom
- Kristi Holl — Writer’s First-Aid
- Michael — The Word Wrangler
- Jesse Hines — Vigorous Writing

Thanks for the link and the mention - congratulations on the traffic! With readers checking in once a week, you’ve found a way to keep the content fresh and flowing. Will be fun to follow your progress in 2008!

Tom,
Life has been quite interesting in the last couple of months, not the least of which is becoming debt free. Now for the next phase
Jeremy, congratulations of becoming debt-free! Does that mean you will not stop searching out open source freeware? I’m still looking for more review/tutorials on your site.
