Many writers seem to crave clutter.Â I’m that way:Â stacks of books, papers, research materials, computer manuals, unpaid bills litter my study, my living room, my dining room table.

Even so, I work better in a space free of distraction.Â Here are tricks and strategies gleaned from many sources to create a space that encourages writing.
