Writers often have notes or text to share with others, while seeking comments. Perhaps a few paragraphs from a story story, for example. Or a section of a non-fiction article that requires fact-checking.

There’a a new online facility to help us out. I’ve posted a small note as an example — if you are curious, you can go take a look at it. AND you can poke around this small web facility to learn more about it too. Just go to:

MY SHARED NOTE

The online facility is www.shortText.com.

There are shortcomings. This facility isn’t really for longer texts. Also the facility will not display formatted text. Still, the facility may be worth bookmarking in your browser, just to have it at hand if needed.

Longer documents and files can be shared via a unique URL at Senduit. These files “time out” at a time limit between 30 minutes and one week, which you choose. Files up to 100mb can be distributed for comment.

Yet another service allows much larger files, up to 2 gigabites, to be made available for download, though one must take a paid membership in order to handle files larger than 100mb. YouSentIt allows one to share such big files without loading down email servers and inboxes.

Thanks to Web Worker Daily for uncovering this website. This posting itself goes beyond the Web Worker posting by giving you an example to look at in order to save you time.
