The computer and internet have dramatically changed the writer’s world — and the recent arrival of Web 2.0 [still a mystery to many of us] will shake us up even more. Time Magazine described it in its unusual “Person of the Year” issue selecting YOU.

Now you can view an entertaining and provocative YouTube video titled Web 2.0: The Machine is Us/ing Us. Chick on the title for a 5-minute joggle of your mind. And, please, take a few more minutes to reflect about the significance of Web 2.0 for writers in general, and you in particular.

If the video truly intrigues you, its creator — Professor Michael Wesch of Kansas State University — has created a space for expanded discussion about the issues raised in the video. More food for thought, and you can join in the discussion, as well.

Particularly intriguing to me is Prof. Wesch’s emphasis on CONTENT, as well as delivery. Hey, that’s US he’s talking about.
