A few days ago, I posted information about a couple of new e-book readers. I just uncovered information about another one — the iRex Iliad, a product developed in Europe by iRex in association with Philips Electronics.

It’s expensive — over $800. But it has more capabilities than the Sony Reader.

You can read a comparative review of the two at MobileRead.com. It is interesting to glimpse the emerging battle in an arena of critical importance to writers. For an interesting discussion about these readers, take a look at this posting at Engadget, reading down through the comments. Go here for a longer review.

For more information about the iLiad, go to the iRex Homepage.
