QuickBooks is the most popular accounting software for small business.Â It has applications that may be useful to some writers, particularly free-lance copywriters and other writers who provide services to business.Â Even so, writers would seldom need the full power of such software.

QuickBooks has now released a free “starter” edition that may well provide everything the writer needs:Â invoicing, full tracking of up to 20 clients and vendors, check writing, complete records for tax time and more.
