The last weekend of May always sees the major book event Book Expo America. It draws readers, as well as publishing professionals. This year it was held in Los Angeles.
Thanks to my friend Ginger, I’ve just read the New York Times account of this year’s event. The E-book, and particularly the “Kindle effect,” seems to have been a central focus of concern. There’s been much talk this spring about the “tipping point” for e-books. Publisher’s Weekly has been on top of this story. You can find my earlier posts about this under the E-Books category on the right sidebar. [I suppose many readers never explore my Table of Contents. That's a useful gateway to the information you may need.]
All writers hoping to publish someday should check out this article to understand current directions and concerns.
