Linux As A Writing Environment

I’ve really been looking forward to the series on Linux as a writing environment promised to us by the blogger at The Eyrea. You see, I’m thinking about switching from Windows to Linux myself, especially now I’m beginning to see that the operating system may offer enough to keep me very happy. I’ve delayed this post until I laid some groundwork myself, with my post about Writing Small and my intrigue with the new Asus mini-laptop.

The first in the series, an overview of Linux, came out in early July. The second in the series, Notetaking in Linux, is now also online. The blogger also promises coverage of word processing and maybe more. I’m intrigued.

I’ll be following this series, and you may wish to do so too.
