Office Suite: Free is better than discounted

Yesterday I posted about the one-day discount sale of Ashampoo Office 2008. Today, I received word that SoftMaker, the actual developer of the software, is making the preceding version of this software available for free.

You can read about SoftMaker Office 2006 at its home page. You will also find there the button for the free download. This is the same version I paid $79.95 for a few months ago. It is a fine software package, very popular in Europe and well-known for its ability to handle Microsoft Office files perfectly.
