I’ve written about this software’s word processor TextMaker before and have evaluated it against the version offered by the developer SoftMaker, which has a few more bells and whistles and which allows updating for a higher price. Personally, I myself some months back turned down another price break from Ashampoo — read my follow-up post — and bought the more expensive SoftMaker version. BUT anyone seeking an excellent value, even more deeply discounted this time around, the Ashampoo version is just fine. One drawback to the Ashampoo version is the overly frequent emails from the company selling other titles.
