Within a couple of days, amazon announced that this feature would only be available on books where the PUBLISHER approves of the text-to-speech facility. That's set off a minor firestorm of protest from the disabiled community. As someone with failing sight, I protest also. Author's Guild is not making any friends right now. As I’m technology dangerous at best, I appreciate you keeping me abreast of all I need to be abreast of. I’ll be curious to see how readers feel about e-books on the iPhone.
