Many writers distribute their writing as e-books in PDF format. And many of those worry about piracy of their work. I learned today about a free tool that will add a “watermark” to one’s PDF pages, which will offer some protection for your work. The small free program is called PDF Watermark Creator 1.0.
For example, one can tell the program to mark all pages in a designated PDF file as COPYWRITE BY ME. And with the press of a button, it’s done. The program prompts one to save the file, best done with a different filename to avoid overwriting the original.
You can view the program’s simple, self-explanatory input screen at the developer’s website at CoolPDF Software. The program can be downloaded from the website.
