G-Recorder is a program that may be helpful especially to writers and journalists who do a lot of interviews using Skype.  While there are a number of other Skype recorders, this one distinguishes itself by its tight integration into Gmail.  No matter what computer one is using, one’s Skype calls are automatically recorded and then stored within one’s Gmail account.  That makes them all available from any computer with internet connection to Gmail.  That makes it both a great organizational tool and backup facility, all in one.

I’ve not used it myself and have reservations about having ALL my Skype calls recorded.  Maybe one of our readers can check this out to see if users can record only selected calls.

Do any of you record your Skype calls as part of your writing routine? If so, please share your experience with us in a comment.

The program is available this SUNDAY ONLY at half price [$12.50 rather than $24.99] via Bits du Jour.  You can download the program in advance to test it out, but the purchase must be made on Sunday, February 14, to avail of the discount.
