With iPad distribution only days away, information about new self-publishing opportunities abound. Here are the three latest to come to my attention.
PUBLISHING CHAT
Publishing Chat promises to become a useful source of advice about self-publishing publishing. It’s an online forum where writers can post questions, share information, review e-book software and readers. Registration is free. It’s worth checking into over the next few months — hopefully it will attract enough informed input to become a handy source of information.
SMASHWORDS & IPAD
Smashwords has just sent out notice to its authors that the service will be posting books to the iPad bookstore. Great news to writers. Read the details at the Self-Publishing Review blog.
IPAD DEMO VIDEOS
Apple has just made available eleven demo videos of various applications for the new iPad. Most interesting to writers are the demos on iBooks and Pages. If you want a preview of how the iPad might be helpful to you, check this out.
