Yet another e-book source has gone online — and it has some elements to it that may make it a player in this growing market space. It is called Novelled.com. It will compete with Smashwords, allowing authors to upload manuscripts and sell them in the three most popular formats: pdf, mobi and e-pub. What distinguishes Novelled is the pricing structure. All books will sell for either 99 cents or $1.50. The author gets 50 percent of sales, with payments made quarterly.
Take a look at the site. You will be able to read through the site’s pitch to authors and readers. Somewhat belying its name, the site will offer e-books from across the range of genres, and not just novels.
