Barbara DeMarco-Barrett of Pen on Fire organized an evening with agents this week for writers in Southern California. Apparently the house was packed, and the three agents on the program all gave upbeat reports about their recent activity. One even reported that on some days she gets as many as 200 inquiry letters! And all have recently sold manuscripts to the major New York publishers.

The event was given a very full write up in the Daily Pilot, which is distributed within the Los Angeles Times to subscribers in counties south. It’s good to read something positive about the publishing industry for a change.
